Mackenzie Boyd’s (Lawrence Robb) mysterious disappearance from the Emmerdale village is hot gossip in the ITV soap this coming week.
We know, of course, that Mack never made it to London. A few days ago, he discovered information about John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) that proved he killed Nate Robinson, and it was this moment that ultimately led him into serious danger.
Mack’s confrontation with John saw him chased through the woods. The local medic had a bow and arrow in hand and when he shot at Mack, an arrow went through his chest and sent him flying.
John then threw a giant boulder at Mack, and we never saw him again. It certainly looks as though Mackenzie is dead but until we receive actual confirmation, anything is possible.

Back at home in the village, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) received a text from Mackenzie’s phone after spending a few hours wondering why he hadn’t been in touch. The message, sent by John, said that Mack wanted to end their marriage.
It was a brutal move, but John needed to do something to stop anyone growing suspicious about Mack suddenly cutting everyone in the Dales out of his life.
As a result of people not knowing the truth though, it is a perfect breeding ground for gossip and rumours, and a certain Ross Barton (Michael Parr) reckons he’s got the truth nailed.
Elsewhere, Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) continues her plan to go up against the Tates, and also confronts someone – with a pitchfork.
Take a look at what’s ahead in Emmerdale week commencing August 25, with our new video clips.
Monday, August 25
Ross heads to see Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and wonders if Mack left because he found out about their infidelity. At her limit, Charity denies the accusations once more, leaving Ross to wonder why Mack would just ‘jack [his] marriage in for a laugh’.
Wound up, Charity throws Ross out but just before he departs, he can’t resist another sarcastic comment.
Charity tells Ross to ‘die in a hole’ and this is witnessed by Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick), could she discover their secret?
Wednesday, August 27
Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) confesses to Moira that she was manipulated into an arrangement with Joe and Kim Tate (Ned Porteous and Claire King). She explains that if the plan worked, they would’ve been able to take Butlers Farm.
Moira is horrified to realise Celia’s recent ‘hotel contract’ wasn’t even real, but has the trust between them broken permanently?
Or can Celia show that she really is interested in working with Moira, Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley)?
Thursday, August 28
Reeling in the aftermath of the discovery about Celia, Moira shifts her focus as she confronts Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) about breaking into the farm.
Dylan is terrified when she promises a taste of his own medicine and grabs a pitchfork.
The news about Celia has clearly put Moira on edge – but how far is she going to go in her revenge on Dylan?
