Marlena apologizes and says she is bothered about EJ and Belle. Susan doesn’t understand and thinks it’s also about everything she is saying. Marlena says she hasn’t slept and recently got a call from Shane. She breaks down as she says he said Andrew and Paul are about to move in on John’s location. She prays John will be ok. With that, EJ heads off to his doctor’s appointment. Marlena stops EJ and reminds him that she and John will do anything they can to protect Belle.
University Hospital – Sarah’s Room: Sarah awakens as Xander is getting pissed about something. She inquires and he says Philip is up to something. Sarah doesn’t understand why Philip would talk to the head of DiMera pharmaceuticals behind his back. Sarah doesn’t think Xander should jump to conclusions but he thinks he’s doing something sneaky. Sarah reminds him that they have to continue to work together or risk Philip’s fraud being exposed. Xander switches directions and says they still have a wee time to spend together even if they don’t go out of town.
Salem Inn – Philip’s Room: Philip gets a call from Kevin who is a wee freaked out. Kevin says he had to take the entire batch of serum as the good doctor returned early. He hasn’t called the police which leads Philip to believe they can still fix the situation.
University Hospital – Kayla’s Office: Kayla, Steve and Shawn Douglas are fretting about who took the Sepsis drug. Kayla can’t believe there is no proof on the footage revealing the culprit. Steve explains the person who took the drug had to be there right before they arrived. Just then, Dr Russell walks in accusing them of stealing the drug. Kayla reminds the good doctor she would have only taken one dose as she wouldn’t want to harm the production of a drug which could help so many people. He begins to see reason and can’t believe his work of so many years is gone. Shawn Douglas offers to call it in but Dr Russell doesn’t want to alert the police. Steve offers to go, and they all head off together. After they leave, Dr Russell notes there are two moguls trying to buy the drugs and tells her to talk to Xander and EJ.
University Hospital – Lobby: Shawn Douglas and Steve are talking about the drug when Xander approaches with Sarah in tow. They are stunned to learn the drug has been stolen. Shawn D all but accuses Xander of stealing the drug but he indicates he knows nothing. Shawn D says, if that’s true, to keep quiet as EJ is the only other suspect. After Shawn D and Steve leave Sarah realizes her husband only wants to buy the husband because of the lucrative drug. He explains it’s part of the reason as a business must be lucrative. Xander swears he had nothing to do with stealing the drug. All of a sudden, he realizes it might have been Philip. With that, he asks Sarah to catch a ride so he can handle business.
Salem Inn – Philip’s Room: Xander arrives to see Philip and confronts him about the stolen drug. Philip explains he stumbled upon some research that clued him into the drug’s existence. Xander incorrectly assumes Philip was trying to steal the drug out from underneath him. Philip admits he had the drug stolen but says he was only trying to help his brother and the company. Philip explains he was trying to help the company but also his brother, Bo. Endings
Kayla and Dr Russell accuse EJ of stealing the sepsis drug. He clearly has no clue what they are talking about, but Kayla is out of control and exits.
On today’s Days of Our Lives recap:
Horton Square: Susan and Marlena are having lunch. Susan goes on and on about returning to her Roger when she realizes Dr Marlena Evans is missing John Black. Just then, EJ approaches. Susan is furious he is strolling around town, but he says he’s on his way to an appointment. Susan wants him to join and EJ agrees, much to Marlena’s chagrin.
