General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Jason Morgan may not have much romance in his life right now; however, the actor who portrays him seems to be lucky in love, once again!
That’s because Steve Burton officially said ‘I do’ to his girlfriend Michelle Lundstrom on Saturday, May 17, in a small church wedding, which was followed by a reception held at the Montage Laguna Beach, oceanfront.
In fact, among some of the more interesting details of the wedding, the couple’s five kids (Burton’s two daughters and one son, along with Michelle’s two daughters) were in the ceremony, as well as GH co-star, Jonathan
Jackson (Lucky Spencer) and his wife, Lisa Vultaggio Jackson (GH’s ex Hannah Scott), were in the wedding party, too.
It was also reported that some of Burton’s GH castmates were also celebrating with the happy couple at the reception.
Steve and Michelle’s first dance was Forrest Blakk’s ‘I Choose You’, and the couple has chosen Hawaii for their honeymoon.
Burton and Lundstrom, who is a chef and recipe content creator, met on social media and became friends first, with love eventually blossoming.
Burton told the world about his new romance during his Daily Drama podcast in May 2024, which he co-hosts with friend and GH colleague Bradford Anderson (Damien Spinelli).
Not long after that, Burton and Lundstrom made their first public appearance together, walking the red carpet at the 2024 Daytime Emmys.
During their courtship, the couple has provided some snippets of their romance on social media.
From enjoying romantic getaways to NYC to family trips to Disneyland, as well as a beach getaway with Jonathan Jackson and his family, Burton and Lundstrom have only gotten closer and closer with time.
The two rang in the new year by getting engaged, and Burton offered a heartfelt Instagram post celebrating this huge milestone by uploading a photo of him on bended knee, with a beautiful Bible verse in his caption.
Burton wrote, “Engaged 1/3/25. Jeremiah 29:11 ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’ ”
Fans couldn’t be more thrilled for Burton, as he’s had his fair share of relationship drama over the years, which mirrored a soap opera storyline.
In December 2023, he divorced his wife of 23 years, Sheree Gustin, after she announced the pregnancy of her fourth child, which he later confirmed was not his.
