General Hospital (GH) recap for Wednesday, July 9, reveals that Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) had an exit strategy while Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) threatened Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) also blocked Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) Jacinda (Paige Herschell) scheme, so here’s how Wednesday’s action went down.
At Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) place, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) told Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) that he overplayed his hand since Ava Jerome (Maura West) slapped him after that stolen kiss.
Kristina wanted to stick to the plan since Ava didn’t throw Cody out and still let him help her at the gallery.
Cody was starting to get torn and was clearly warming up to Ava, but Kristina insisted Ava hadn’t learned from all her mistakes.
After Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) arrived, she noticed Cody was all dressed up. Cody explained that he was headed to the new exhibit at the gallery and ultimately took off.
Molly scolded Kristina for not badmouthing Ava since this is the one time it would’ve been helpful!
Kristina realized Molly may be more protective than just a friend and suspected her sister wanted more than that from Cody.
At the gallery, Cody showed up early since he wanted to apologize again for what happened last night.
Ava wasn’t bothered by it and let Cody help her move some boxes.
After Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) invited Elizabeth to the exhibit, she tried to set some boundaries since she didn’t want to mislead him.
Ric assured Liz that he was only looking for friendship.
Ric eventually brought Ava flowers and explained that he’d arranged for more money to be deposited for the gallery.
Once Ric apologized for their fight, Ava was appreciative.
Back at GH, Carly cornered Willow and said Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) told her what his ex did.
After Carly warned that it wouldn’t happen again, she threatened to ban Willow from the pool if any other Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) incidents happened.
Next, Lucas talked to Carly privately and sought her help protecting Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) from Sonny.
If Sonny went after Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) son, Lucas feared all this could spiral into something even worse.
At Sonny’s house, he spoke with Jason about Selina Wu’s (Lydia Look) two associates ending up in the harbor.
There was some talk about Sidwell’s setup and the fact that the attack on Charlie’s Pub seemed different than the previous one at the penthouse.
Sonny was adamant about sending a message to Sidwell and proving that if someone came after his child, their child would pay the price.
Jason had already made Marco-related arrangements, so he suggested the plan would go live whenever Sonny said so.
Once Carly showed up at Sonny’s door, she insisted she was there to stop another one of their children from being killed.
Back with Willow, she met up with Drew and complained about her faceoff with Carly.
Drew was in Willow’s corner, but he also warned against doing anything that would cause issues ahead of the visitation hearing.
Outside the Quartermaine mansion, Sasha worried Michael thought she was crazy, but he’d seen her when she was spiraling mentally and knew this was different.
Sasha was relieved and suggested either someone was gaslighting her or they wanted to prove they could get to Daisy Gilmore (Levi Clark Coughiln) whenever they wanted.
That’s why Sasha insisted she had to move out with Daisy.
Michael assumed Sasha would move elsewhere in town, but she argued that she needed to take Daisy out of Port Charles and go into hiding.
However, Michael quickly got upset and refused to allow that.
As for Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup), he got Drew’s gratitude for the warning about Curtis’ plan. Drew had a plan of his own and just hoped it would work.
Kai acknowledged that he went against Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) by being loyal to Drew and seemed willing to own up to his actions with her.
In Curtis’ office, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) delivered the news that Jacinda would be flying back to Port Charles within 24 hours.
Jordan later showed up and vowed to remove herself from Curtis’ life since she didn’t want to add to his marriage woes.
Afterward, Felicia came back with some disappointing Jacinda updates since she didn’t catch the flight after all and her apartment had been cleared out.
Although Felicia assumed Jacinda got cold feet, Curtis knew this had to be Drew’s doing.
It left Curtis wondering how Drew got tipped off to his right as Kai appeared outside the door.
General Hospital spoilers say Kai and Curtis have a heated confrontation ahead, so stay tuned.
