General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 26, indicates that Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) poisoner was revealed while Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) woke up as a basement hostage.
In Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) office, he took a phone call from a drunk Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and decided to go see her at the Brown Dog Bar.
When Colette Moreau (Mercedes Lopez Renard) appeared, she pushed Brennan to call off the mission since it had been so long since Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) checked in.
Colette also took a jab about Brennan dating Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), but he made it clear that Colette wasn’t calling the shots and that his personal life was none of her business.
Once Brennan took off, Colette slipped back in and went on the hunt for information.
When Colette saw that the info she needed was in a locked box with a combination, she called Pascal (Marc Forget) for help getting it.
In a room somewhere at the Five Poppies Resort, Pascal warned a tied-up Josslyn that she was expendable unless she could provide WSB intel.
Josslyn suggested that she’d consider blabbing if Pascal offered proof that Vaughn was OK.
Pascal and his men brought Vaughn in soon after, but Josslyn flipped out when they started torturing him in front of her.
Josslyn finally caved in and offered the locked box combination just before Vaughn would’ve been scalded with a hot iron.
Vaughn fumed at Josslyn for blabbing once they were alone, so Pascal watched the video feed of them on his tablet and looked pleased before strutting off.
Back with Vaughn, he mentioned something about “game, set, match” that seemed to register a deeper meaning with Josslyn.
There was apparently some sort of secret spy communication happening, so Josslyn’s combination may not have been the real deal.
At the Brown Dog Bar, Brennan found Anna plastered and wondered about the reason why.
Anna mentioned her goddaughter, Maxie, and the medical drama she was facing, so Brennan was sympathetic.
Anna also worried that being a WSB agent would ruin Josslyn’s life and pushed Brennan to abort the mission so he could bring Joss home.
When Brennan was uncooperative, Anna acted like she could just tell Carly the truth herself, but Brennan knew that wasn’t going to happen.
At the Port Charles Grill, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) worried about everyone seeing Maxie collapse after using Deception’s face cream on the air.
Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) vowed to help find a solution and provided plenty of reassurance.
Sidwell also encouraged Lucy to come home with him, so she was surprised over the implication of spending the night together.
However, Sidwell offered one the guest rooms and just wanted to keep enjoying their bonding time.
Although Lucy declined because she wanted to go check on Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner), Sidwell assured her that it was a standing invitation.
Nearby, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) gave Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) updates on Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) restraining orders as well as Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) ill-advised decision to publicly threaten him.
The conversation shifted to Molly’s scandalous discovery in the stables and how Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) paid Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) to keep Ava Jerome (Maura West) away from Ric.
Michael thought maybe Molly should give Kristina and Cody the benefit of the doubt since they might’ve genuinely been trying to be helpful. Molly was still miffed and felt that Ric deserved to know about the shady plan.
Next, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) offered Cody a beer and some support over Maxie’s ordeal.
Cody also filled Dante in on the messy situation with Ava, Ric and Molly now that everything had blown up.
Once Alexis came home and saw Ric on the floor, she wondered if he was deceased.
Kristina found a pulse and noticed Ric’s pupils were reactive following Ava’s blow to his head, so that was good news.
Alexis heard the story of Ava hitting Ric with a paperweight after finding out he duped her out of all the money.
Although Alexis wanted to call the cops, Ava warned that she’d take Kristina down for the car crash if that happened.
Kristina didn’t want Alexis going down for embezzlement either, so they all needed an alternative plan.
Later, Alexis assured Ava and Kristina that Ric’s car had been moved to the shed, where Molly wouldn’t look due to the bats.
As for Ric, GH viewers saw that he was gagged and strapped to a bed in what appeared to be a basement.
At Wyndemere, Colette pushed Sidwell to confirm that something had been taken care of since Pascal wanted answers on behalf of their associate.
Sidwell insisted that he’d have a controlling interest in Deception soon and alluded to their plans for it.
Sidwell also urged Colette to thank their associate for the compound since it worked like a charm and Maxie wasn’t a threat anymore.
General Hospital spoilers say there’s much more mayhem to come thanks to this mysterious associate, so stay tuned.
