General Hospital (GH) recap for Thursday, July 31, reveals that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) played a long-game strategy while Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) mortuary visit offered proof that there was no Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) cremation.
At Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) office, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) wanted answers about why Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) broke up.
Curtis couldn’t spill that and wasn’t on board with Stella’s matchmaking reunion plans, so she pushed him to at least stay out of her way.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) insisted she was there to apologize for her previous behavior and tried making a plea instead of demands.
Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) eventually brought up Willow’s visit to the clinic in Germany and swore that he was never told she was there.
Willow didn’t get why the receptionist would lie, but then it clicked for her that Drew must’ve sabotaged her attempt to compromise with Michael.
Now that Willow and Michael were finally alone in a room together, she hoped they could find common ground.
When Michael insisted on sticking with the judge’s ruling, Willow flew into another crying rage and proved why Michael was right to keep her at a distance.
Willow clearly needed to heal before she could be a good mom again.
However, Willow couldn’t see things from Michael’s perspective, so she warned that she’d never forget this and stomped off.
At home, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) pushed for a dog schedule meeting later, but Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) was busy prepping for Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton (Daniel Goddard) related things and left her grandma concerned.
Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) was also there and had an awkward encounter with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), who was summoned by Anna.
After Gio and Emma took off with Outback, Dante and Anna discussed footage that put the woman Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was tracking at the Metro Court – which was also where Dalton was staying.
Anna was sure of a connection and worried about Emma stumbling upon a high security operation that could get her killed.
Since Anna needed info on what Dalton was up to, Dante agreed to keep digging for her.
By the pool, Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) massaged Josslyn as they carried out their romantic charade, but their conversation was about WSB business.
The tracker went dark before the signal came back three hours later, so Joss and Vaughn considered what that meant.
It was possible the tracker was in an area that blocked it, but it was also possible the tracker was found and eventually turned back on to draw out who was monitoring things.
After Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) spotted Josslyn looking cozy with Vaughn, she insisted on speaking with her daughter in private.
Josslyn went to Carly’s office with her and faced her mom’s concerns about Vaughn pitting her against Emma.
However, Josslyn blamed Emma and acted like Vaughn was a good guy.
Joss also indicated that they weren’t exclusive and suggested this casual romance was exactly what she needed after the year she’d had.
Once Michael found Carly and filled her in on Willow’s latest outburst, he worried she might never be well enough to be around the children.
At Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) place, Jason showed up and wondered if she needed him to wait outside or throw Drew out.
Drew left willingly, so Jason admitted he needed Liz’s help looking at GH records involving where the morgue bodies went.
Elizabeth learned this was a personal matter and got reassurance that it had nothing to do with Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) business.
Although Liz could lose her job if she got caught, Jason promised she wouldn’t. Elizabeth pulled up the 2022-2024 timeframe that Jason requested and left him alone with her laptop.
After Jason put in Britt’s name, he saw that her body supposedly went to Lawrence Mortuary.
Jason eventually went there and spoke with an employee about Britt’s cremation, but the employee noticed there was no record of the date and time it occurred.
Although the employee assumed it must be a simple mistake, Jason got more proof Britt was alive.
After Willow returned to Elizabeth and gave her the news about her latest disastrous Michael visit, she knew she needed to find a way to show some stability.
Back at the pool, Outback jumped on Vaughn, who returned the dog to Emma and hoped there were no hard feelings about what happened with Josslyn.
Emma insisted she was fine and acted like Vaughn was a perfect match with Joss.
Afterward, Emma admitted to Gio that she stole Vaughn’s master key and that’s why she’d been trying to avoid him.
Josslyn also reconvened with Vaughn, who shocked her with updates on them getting pulled from their current investigation.
At a poolside table, Drew met with Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) and informed him that Curtis was the one who blabbed to Willow before the wedding.
Drew eventually sat down with Curtis and pushed for a truce, so Curtis asked if he was willing to hand over the blackmail material on Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr).
After Drew acted like he was open to that, he returned to Martin. Drew seemed intrigued when Martin mentioned Stella’s insider work to fix his insurance problems.
Martin was surprised over Drew pushing for a truce with Curtis, but Drew smirked over playing the long game when it came to his revenge.
General Hospital spoilers say Drew will strike back when the time is right, so don’t miss what’s coming up.
