General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, June 30, reveals that some masked men drenched Kristina Corinthos-Davis’ (Kate Mansi) bar in gasoline before firebombing it. There was plenty of drama on Monday’s GH episode, so let’s discuss how it all went down.
After leading Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) outside the church, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) insisted she couldn’t be there.
Natalia fired back that Sonny was supposed to be on a plane with her so they could start their new life in Belize.
Sonny apologized for the confusion, but he also made it clear that his life was still there in Port Charles.
Natalia complained about not having any family or friends to go with the house and money he arranged for her, but Sonny still had his henchman, Paul, drag her away for her flight.
In Natalia’s suite, Paul waited outside since she claimed she wanted to shower and finish packing.
Natalia was clearly in crisis mode as she kept downing pills and reaching for her booze bottle.
At Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) house, Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) borrowed her kitchen and got some help from Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) before they enjoyed a meal together.
Natalia eventually started texting “word salad” to Marco, who said she always sent him guilty messages of gibberish when she was drunk.
Since Natalia was supposed to be skipping town and was now reaching out, Lucas suggested it might be Marco’s last chance to reach back.
Marco texted that he was on his way, but Natalia passed out on the couch due to all the pills and booze.
Back at the church, there were plenty of questions about Natalia, but Daisy Celeste’s (Levi Clark Couglin) christening moved forward as Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson), Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and all her loved ones gathered.
Afterward, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) stepped away to give ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) updates over the phone.
Once Chase shared the news that Natalia showed up at the christening and talked to Sonny, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) confronted him and pushed for answers.
However, Chase couldn’t get into details and had to keep his marriage separate from what was going on professionally.
In Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) office, ADA Turner questioned whether Sonny was really outsmarting the cops or if Anna had just been looking the other way.
Anna insisted they should be working together and once again expressed disapproval over Turner keeping her in the dark on her latest investigation.
In Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) office, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) took one look at him in a passionate moment with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and raced out of there after apologizing.
Curtis quickly put it together that Portia must’ve set Jordan up to see that, so Portia confirmed she indeed did. Portia insisted that Jordan wanted Curtis back and needed to know it wasn’t happening.
Although Portia accused Jordan of trying to take advantage of their marriage’s vulnerability, Curtis viewed Portia as the manipulative one instead.
Portia was still scheming and doing things to push them apart according to Curtis.
After Portia brought up the fact that Jordan had lied too, Curtis pointed out that she lied about work.
That was different that when Portia deceived him about Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) paternity and the blackmail mess.
Jordan eventually made her way to Anna’s office, where she talked about Portia’s setup and what she witnessed.
Although Jordan didn’t plan on destroying Curtis’ marriage, she hinted that Portia’s schemes might accomplish that.
Since Jordan didn’t think Curtis could fix things with Portia, she thought he needed to move forward.
That left Anna wondering what Jordan needed for herself.
After Jordan called Curtis’ phone, Portia wasn’t surprised.
As it continued to ring, Portia told Curtis she’d be fighting for his marriage and questioned what he would do.
Once Anna was alone again, ADA Turner returned and pushed her to put an APB out on Natalia, who was about to flee Port Charles and could be their best chance at nailing Sonny.
Back at the Quartermaine mansion, there was a little reception following Daisy’s christening.
Sasha let Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) hold the baby and asked if he wanted Daisy to call him “Uncle Jason,” but he said Jason was fine.
Kristina got a phone call about her manager having to cancel, so she bailed on the gathering early to go open up Charlie’s Pub.
Some masked men doused Charlie’s Pub in gasoline before Kristina arrived.
Just as Kristina was noticing the gasoline, someone smashed the window and firebombed the place – causing the flames to spread rapidly.
General Hospital spoilers say Kristina will need a way out of this dangerous jam, so stay tuned!
