General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, June 23, reveals that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) was overworked from an extra long shift when she ran into a towel-wearing Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) in the GH locker room. Isaiah realized Portia was avoiding going home, so he wanted to take her somewhere to relax.
At the Metro Court pool, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) reminisced about her old stakeout days with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), so they were together when Portia and Isaiah arrived at the pool as well.
Curtis got a phone call and took off, which gave Portia a chance to confront Jordan about hanging out with her husband.
In Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) office, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) told him about Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) moving ahead with the press conference.
Drew was thrilled and gave Martin the news about Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) accepting his proposal, too.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Tracy gave Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) updates on the whole press conference situation, so Brook Lynn pushed her grandmother to suck it up and go through with it.
At the gallery, Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) told Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) that he accepted Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) internship offer since it wouldn’t require much time in D.C. after all.
Trina didn’t trust Drew and voiced her concerns, but she ultimately gave Kai a supportive kiss before he headed off to Drew’s office.
Afterward, Trina summoned Curtis to the gallery, where she filled him in on Kai taking Drew’s internship offer.
Trina also confessed that she knew about Curtis’ Jacinda (Paige Herschell) plans and wondered how much trouble Portia was in.
Over with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), she pushed Willow to wait and have a real wedding with Drew.
Nina felt that rushing into one would be a mistake since it’d look like Willow and Drew were trying to work the system.
Willow pointed out that Martin approved this strategy and thought it might be the only path to getting her children back.
Although Willow eventually agreed to think about what Nina told her, she still seemed pretty set on this quickie wedding idea.
Meanwhile, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) prepared to dine outside with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) in the Metro Court patio area.
Carly called Michael out for being distracted, so he admitted he was worried about Daisy’s (Levi Clark Coughlin) christening and whether a big family celebration like this was cruel to Willow.
Michael pointed out that Drew was the real issue, so he hoped he could get Willow to see that she lost kids because of Drew and persuade her to leave him.
Later, Nina approached Carly alone and warned that Willow was going to marry Drew if Carly couldn’t get through to Michael.
Nina felt that if Michael allowed Willow to see her kids now, she could eventually pry her daughter away from Drew’s influence.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Willow showed up to meet with Michael and talked about wanting to be transparent with him from now on.
When Willow confessed her Drew marriage plans, Michael was floored.
Back with Tracy, Drew managed to rile her up with gloating ahead of the press conference.
Once the press conference kicked off, Drew made a speech about settling this family dispute with Tracy and said he’d be encouraging dropped charges.
After Drew gave Tracy an introduction, she tried to go through with reading the prepared statement and just couldn’t bring herself to call him Drew Quartermaine!
Instead, Tracy said she had to tell the truth, so she ranted about Drew taking the drugs and planting them in his car.
Tracy said Drew was an embarrassment and disgrace to her family.
“Just ask his nephew, whose marriage he destroyed! The congressman should be thrown out of office the same way his stepmother threw him out of the Quartermaine mansion,” Tracy declared.
Everyone was left gaping over the shocking comments Tracy made on camera.
