General Hospital (GH) recap for Friday, August 22, reveals that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Greta (Cecily Elliott) basically had a fake date while Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) caught Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) and Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) passionate moment.
At the Five Poppies Resort, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) gawked at Greta chatting up “John Moore” aka Jason, who gave her a bogus story about the reasons for his Croatia vacation.
Pascal (Marc Forget) caught Britt spying, so Britt complained about her courier’s actions and learned Pascal ordered Greta to fish for info.
Since the WSB had infiltrated the Five Poppies, Pascal was digging for the truth about his guests.
In Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Vaughn’s (Bryce Durfee) room, they discussed how they’d looked almost everywhere and still hadn’t found Britt.
Vaughn insisted they were out of time and wanted to contact Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) with updates, so Josslyn went off to do one final sweep of the grounds while he did.
Josslyn saw Jason with Greta soon after and looked panicked as she ducked out of sight.
Once Josslyn made it back to the suite, she found that Vaugn was gone.
Pascal showed up at the door with a gun and said he’d be happy to facilitate a reunion with Agent Vaughn.
Jason went to his own suite and was surprised when Britt showed up at the door, so the two of them shared an intense look of yearning.
At Bobbie’s, Brennan showed up with the wrench Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) gave him as a gift.
Since Carly’s garbage disposal was broken, Brennan stepped up to help her fix it.
There was also some talk about Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) ordeal, so Carly explained the story of Maxie getting the heart of Bobbie Jones’ (Jacklyn Zeman) daughter, B.J. Jones (Brighton Hertford).
Carly reflected on her own loss of Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) and teared up since she couldn’t bear losing another child.
Brennan assured Carly that she’d never have to find out as he comforted her.
At one point, Brennan checked his phone and saw that he had an emergency message from Colette Moreau (Mercedes Lopez Renard) before texting Vaughn for news ASAP.
Outside Bobbie’s, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) helped Molly see that if she could get over her feelings for Cody, she would’ve done it by now.
Michael basically urged Molly to hang out with Cody and see where things might lead.
Despite Molly’s anxiety, Michael suggested she could start small with a cup of coffee.
At the Quartermaine stables, Cody hinted he wasn’t just trying to return Ava’s sunglasses or ask art questions when he pursued her.
Ava said she had an ulterior motive of her own and didn’t mind that Cody made Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) jealous.
Ava claimed the only reason to be with Ric was to drive Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and her daughters up the wall, but Cody defended Molly.
However, Ava acted like Molly was just as bad as the rest of her family and kept badmouthing her to Cody.
After Ava resolved to stick with Ric and stir up more trouble, Cody tempted her away from him instead.
Cody wanted to repay Ava for cheering him up, so he kissed her and got a positive response.
When Molly came looking for Cody later, she caught him still shirtless and locking lips with Ava.
Molly seemed startled and embarrassed over interrupting the encounter, so she tried to excuse herself.
At GH, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) continued to reel over spotting Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) in Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) arms.
Nina spoke with Willow soon after and clarified that she was there to support Maxie’s family.
Although Willow managed to keep her cool, she insisted nothing had changed and still wanted Nina to keep her distance.
Once Ric approached Willow next, he urged her to focus on family instead of more colleagues as character witnesses.
When Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) popped up at the hospital, Willow approached her about speaking up for her in court.
Kristina refused to go against Michael and made it clear that she was only pretending when she played nice with Willow before.
In reality, Kristina thought Willow was a terrible mother, so Willow was stunned over that revelation.
Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) realized what had happened, so she pulled Kristina aside for a private conversation.
Since Kristina knew what it was like to make big mistakes and regret them, Liz urged her to help give Willow a second chance.
Kristina worried this meant Elizabeth would blab about the cut brakes if she didn’t cooperate, but Liz didn’t go as far as blackmailing her.
It was more like a request that Kristina extend the grace that was given to her.
Back with Nina, she met with Ric in the stairwell and pushed him to tell Willow that she couldn’t speak with Drew.
Nina told Ric to lie about the custody case if he had to and insisted he should follow orders since she was the one paying him.
After Kristina headed to Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) place, she flashed back to mistakes she’d made related to Ava before Ric came to the door.
Meanwhile, Willow got Drew on the phone out of desperation and admitted she did need his help getting her kids back.
Elizabeth eavesdropped nearby and looked frustrated over Willow’s latest move.
At Maxie’s place, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) showed up and comforted Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening).
There was some talk about Maxie, comas and more as Laura supported Lulu through a difficult time.
General Hospital spoilers say Maxie’s medical storyline has more twists and turns ahead, so stay tuned.
