Mackenzie Boyd has been tipped to be murdered by killer John Sugden in an upcoming storyline.
According to The Sun, Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) will be John’s next victim as he starts to piece together more about John’s crimes and makes a chilling discovery.
It’s been reported that Robb has already filmed his final death scenes for Mackenzie, with this storyline set to play out for months. ITV declined to comment when approached by Radio Times.
When appearing on Loose Women, Robb was questioned about the reports, but he remained tight-lipped.
Robb said (via Digital Spy): “Ultimately, if and when the time for Mack to leave comes, whether that might be my choice or the choice of the writers/producers, I’ll be thankful for the time that I’ve had.
“Ultimately, no one is safe in the show, certainly not in Emmerdale. It’s the most dangerous village in the country.”
John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth)

When is John Sugden reportedly leaving? TBC.
It has also been reported that killer John Sugden himself will also be leaving the soap when his storyline comes to an end, which is hardly a surprise.
The Sun reports a source as saying: “It’s the beginning of the end for John. He’s got away with so much but he’s about to make a fatal mistake that sees him exposed for what he is.
“Obviously Oliver knew that a character like John had a shelf life and that’s rapidly approaching.”
ITV declined to comment when approached by Radio Times.
REPORTEDLY RETURNING
Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles)

When is Bernice Blackstock reportedly returning? 2025.
Former Woolpack landlady and Gabby Thomas’s mother, Bernice Blackstock, is reportedly returning for a guest stint.
According to The Sun, this reprisal is strictly temporary, with filming of Giles’s limited scenes due to take place within weeks.
A source told the paper: “Everything is being kept very hush hush but of course Bernice’s return is a big deal as one of the soap’s most loved characters. And Samantha being back among the cast is a real win too, as everyone loves working with her.”
RadioTimes.com reached out to ITV for comment on this unconfirmed casting report.
RETURNING
Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay)

When is Steph Miligan returning? TBC.
Ruby and Caleb’s daughter, Steph Miligan, recently fled Emmerdale to start afresh and get away from her trauma and heartache.
However, actress Georgia Jay is off on her maternity leave, which means that Steph won’t be away from the village permanently.
Will Steph be in a better place when she returns?
JOINING
Kev (Chris Coghill)

When is Kev arriving? September 2025.
Former EastEnders actor Chris Coghill has joined the cast of Emmerdale as a mysterious new character.
Coghill is well known for playing Tony King, the man who abused Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) as a child, in the BBC soap from 2008 until 2009.
In the ITV soap, the star is set to play Kev, who arrives in the village looking for directions.
Speaking of the casting, Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw shared: “We are delighted that someone of Chris’s calibre has joined our cast.”
“I think the viewers will be intrigued to see how the character of Kev will cause shockwaves this autumn,” she added.
“Kev has a strong connection to one of our characters and it’s safe to say his arrival is going to be a massive surprise that will have major repercussions for some of our villagers.”
