Things have been tense between Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) and Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) in Coronation Street ever since she unceremoniously dumped him.
Their relationship was on a good path until Debbie’s whole world was rocked by a dementia diagnosis.
Wanting to protect Ronnie from the truth, she broke up with him, leaving him confused and heartbroken.
Understandably, Ronnie has been keen to move on with his life, and we have since seen him get closer to Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson), who is also single following a messy break up last year.
In tonight’s episode, Debbie left Ronnie even more confused when she paid him a visit after snapping at him in the corner shop.
When she had struggled to recognise the change she was holding, Ronnie had stepped in to help, but wanting to keep her condition under wraps, she snapped at him and made a quick exit.

During her visit, she apologised, but it soon became clear that that wasn’t the real reason she wanted to see Ronnie.
After some small talk about Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell), Debbie urged Ronnie not to move on with another woman, which left him furious.
He was quick to point out that she had been the one to dump him, before arguing that he and Leanne were just friends.

As he questioned why he was explaining himself to her, he quizzed Debbie about Ross.
Debbie was obviously unwilling to tell Ronnie that Ross was from her dementia support group, and he mistook her excuses as her covering for a relationship.
As Debbie left, Ronnie shot back that he ‘wouldn’t kick Leanne out of bed’, before later heading to the pub for a drink with her.
