Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest an interesting storyline evolving between Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) and Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein)
He stumbled upon a manuscript of Stephanie’s, read it, and believes it could be a best-seller.
In fact, during the Monday, May 19 episode, Alex met up with Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) to pitch an idea to her.
He brought a copy of Stephanie’s book, asked her to read it, and talked about relaunching Titan Publishing, a division she led back in the day.
Stephanie’s book would center around the rebirth of Titan’s publishing sector – so if Kate liked the manuscript, then they would move forward with it.
Meanwhile, Stephanie has been a tad apprehensive about the whole idea of publishing her manuscript.
While she had told Alex she’d think about his idea to release her book later during the May 19 episode (after his meeting with Kate), Stephanie’s ‘maybe’ turned into an outright ‘no’.
Stephanie was concerned that if the book did do well on the market, then book reviewers everywhere would be foaming at the mouth to find out who had written it.
Selling it under a pen name is a good plan, but what if people found out it was, she who had written it?
After all, the book has been touted as ‘tastefully written’ smut. Due to the sexual nature of the content, Stephanie would be mortified if people found out she had written it.
Plus, it could destroy her PR career.
Alex didn’t have the time to explain that he had passed the manuscript onto Kate, setting the wheels in motion for a possible Titan Publishing relaunch.
It sounds like some drama on the horizon, as Kate will likely read the book and love it. It’s interesting that Kate, of all people, has been roped into this storyline.
After all, Stephanie once dated her son, Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier), and while their romantic reunion was cut short recently, they had quite the fling back in the day!
Could the book’s ‘smut’ and steamy content be about Stephanie and Philip’s bedroom activities when they were involved?
Alex did talk about some naughty details in the manuscript that he found interesting. Could this be the real reason behind Stephanie’s apprehension when it comes to publishing?
Is she afraid that Philip could read it, remember some of the scenes, and then out her as the pen-name author?
Plus, how awkward and icky it would be for Stephanie and Philip’s past to be out there for everyone to read.
The idea that his mom has read it and is behind its release is exactly the type of storyline Days is infamous for. Not to mention how grossed out Alex will be.

Still, the fact that Kate has been looped into all this might indicate that the book she’s reading/has read is about her son’s endeavors with his ex-fiancée, which is sure to cause chaos once it is revealed.
