Days of our Lives spoilers for Thursday, June 5, welcome back Jennifer and Jack, while Gabi doesn’t feel too welcome back in Ari’s life.

John’s (Drake Hogysten) death triggered many tears, but it also triggered the return of Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) and Jack (Matthew Ashford). How will they feel when they learn that their son-in-law and father of their grandchildren, Chad (Billy Flynn), is going out on a date with Cat (AnnaMarie McCord), the woman who lied and pretended to be their late daughter, Abigail (Marci Miller), to the point where she almost married Chad — so she could kill him and inherit his money?
Chad has gotten over it. After all, she did it for her mother and her sister and her brother and… well, she has all the excuses. But Jennifer and Jack are likely to be less charmed… or convinced.

Mama, I’m a Big Girl Now
Ari (Marissa Reyes) left Salem and her mom to live with her dads as a little girl. Now she’s back — and she’s all grown up. Or, at least, she thinks she is. She thinks she’s old enough to sneak out of the house and spend the night with Doug (Peyton Meyer), whom she picked up in a bar (where she’s not enough to drink yet, though the show made a point of reminding us she was 18 and, at least, legal).
She also thinks she’s too old to have her mom lecture her about it — or about anything, actually. But does Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) seem like the type to give in to her kids’ tantrums?
Turn Around
Tate (Leo Howard) is sad about his Grandpa John’s death. Holly (Ashley Puzemis) comforts him. Which means she isn’t there to teach Doug poetry.
Doug has other things on his mind, anyway. He still wants to find the necklace he stole from Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes). Maybe Leo (Greg Rikaart) can help him? Leo does think he’s a crack investigative reporter.
