Carla Connor (Alison King) was left concerned for girlfriend Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) in more ways than one in Wednesday’s Coronation Street.
Lisa’s workaholic tendencies have finally caught up with her this week, leaving the detective battling a nasty cold.
Despite the fact that she could hardly go more than four sentences without sneezing, Lisa was determined to carry on as normal, eager to get to the station and start her day.
However, after bumping into Carla on the way out of the shop, having bought her third pack of tissues that morning, she was ordered to go home and rest.
Reluctantly, she agreed, and allowed Carla to take care of her.

It didn’t take long for Lisa to get fed up with being stuck at home, especially when Carla, clad in rubber gloves, confiscated the TV remote for disinfecting.
Things soon livened up, though, when Lisa got a call from DI Costello, informing her that Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) had been attacked in prison.
Against Carla’s orders, Lisa headed out to pay Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) a visit and update him on the situation.
When she revealed that Costello wanted to see them both because he suspected the attack was an inside job, Kit revealed that he was the man behind it.
Lisa was furious, pointing out that they had enough evidence to send Mick away for life.

However, by the time she arrived home to a frustrated Carla, she had decided not to do anything about Kit’s malpractice.
Though Carla argued that Kit had been quick to throw her under the bus when it came to Joel Deering, Lisa pointed out that this was different, as Mick had murdered Craig Tinker.
When Carla pointed out that keeping this information to herself could cost her career, Lisa retorted that she’d better hope Costello never found out, before taking herself off to bed and leaving Carla concerned.
