There’s trouble brewing in the garage next week in Coronation Street as Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) lands herself in hot water after an attempt to cut Carl out of her life. But could her scheming end in heartbreak for Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell)?
It all kicks off when Kevin spots a message from Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) on Abi’s phone.
In the message, Carl boldly flirts with Abi, expressing he ‘wants to get to know her better’. Rattled and confused, Kevin begins to question if something is going on between the two.
Abi heads to the garage to confront Carl and make it abundantly clear she wants him to stay away from her. Carl is up to his old tricks and is forging another MOT certificate, all while playing the charming innocent.

Tired of Carl’s games and determined to get rid of him, Abi decides to get her hands dirty and attempts to sabotage Carl. She comes up with a plan to tamper with a car that Carl has been working on and then points out his ‘sloppy’ work to Kevin in the hopes he’ll fire him and send him packing.
At first, Kevin seems to believe Abi’s version of events, but after reviewing the CCTV footage, he’s stunned to discover Abi is the one who sabotaged the car.
Kevin, feeling betrayed, is left wondering why Abi would go to such lengths to try to get Carl in trouble.
The anxiety of awaiting his test results is looming over him as he’s due to attend his hospital appointment. Abi is set to go with him but receives a work call and rushes off, leaving Kevin to face the news alone.
