We first met Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) on Coronation Street in 2023, and there were fireworks from her first appearance.
The mum of Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan), Christina had a deep-seated hatred of Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews), believing that Jenny had stolen her husband.
‘It’s electrically scary because Jenny’s a hell of a force to be reckoned with and so is Christina and I don’t think either of them are willing to back down,’ Amy Robbins said of her character when she joined the show.
The dynamic between Christina and Jenny was so much fun that the actress reprised her role several more times. We last saw her earlier this year when she came back to Weatherfield as part of Charlotte Jordan’s exit story.
We saw Christina come up with a plan to get revenge on Jenny by catfishing her. When Jenny matched with a man called Dom on a dating app, little did she know that Dom was actually Christina’s partner and between them they were plotting to defraud her of her money.

When Daisy discovered what her mum was up to she tipped Jenny off, leading to a massive showdown, after which Christina was arrested.
With Daisy gone, you wouldn’t think there’d be any reason for Christina to pitch up on the cobbles again, but she’s back in episodes to be aired soon. And she’s looking for a man.
Not just any man. George Shuttleworth, to be exact.
George has recently been trying online dating himself, as he finds himself at a loose end since Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) went to Thailand without him. What he hasn’t realised is there’s someone close at hand who would like to step into Eileen’s shoes (not literally. They don’t have the same taste in shoes at all) – and that’s Jenny.
Since George impressed Jenny by fixing some dodgy plumbing at the Kabin, she’s had him in her sights and was a tad disappointed when the dating apps started yielding results for him.

So she’s absolutely fuming to find Christina looking for George.
However, when George isn’t fixing leaky pipes he’s more often to be found embalming bodies and arranging funerals and it’s in his professional capacity that Christina wants to talk to him, because she’s had a sad bereavement. Dom, her former partner in crime and in life, has sadly passed away and she wants George to organise the funeral.
It sounds plausible enough, but Jenny has been taken in once too often by Christina and she smells a rat. Convinced Christina is making up the story about Dom, she heads for the undertakers to confront her.
Announcing to George that Christina is obviously after his money and Dom is, in fact, still alive, Jenny lifts the lid of the coffin, convinced she’ll find it empty and prove Christina is lying.
