Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) was left shocked in Coronation Street last month when he realised that Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty) had a 16-year-old son.
16 years ago, Kit slept with Lou while her now husband Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) was behind bars, leading him to believe that Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) is his son.
However, Lou has denied Kit’s suggestion that he is Brody’s dad, leaving the truth a complete mystery.
Mick has been doing his best to turn Brody against Kit from behind bars, and so far he has succeeded in opening a rift between them.
Kit has been determined not to let Brody follow in Mick’s footsteps, which has meant keeping an almost constant eye on him.
In tonight’s episode, Bernie Winter (Jane Hazegrove) came up with a plan to find out if Kit is Brody’s biological father once and for all.

It began when she, Kit and Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) found Brody having a seizure and rushed him to hospital, where they learnt that he has epilepsy.
When the doctor asked if they were family, Kit was clearly unsure of what to say, so Bernie explained that they were close friends of the family.
After calling Lou to let her know what was going on, they headed in to check on Brody, who made it clear that nothing had changed between him and Kit.

During their visit, Bernie managed to swipe Brody’s hat, which had a number of his hairs on it.
She presented this to Kit and told him that a DNA test would finally confirm the truth
