The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.
Emmerdale has dropped another hint about who Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) really is, and even Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) is starting to find her a bit odd.
Farmer Celia arrived earlier this year. She was involved in a storyline with Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt), who was attacked by a dog that was on her land.
After Paddy went to the hospital, he took a bolt gun and went in search of the canine. It was largely done because Paddy’s dad, Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards), had practically called him a coward, so he attempted to prove the theory wrong.
When he arrived at the place where it happened, Celia was there. She confirmed to Paddy that she had already dealt with the dog, which left him frustrated.

Celia ended up getting the upper hand in the conversation and scared Paddy away – once she had screamed in his face.
Paddy doesn’t know Celia very well, so this felt incredibly uncomfortable and invasive.
More recently, Celia has been seen hanging around Butlers Farm. She got word that Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) was struggling to keep the farm afloat, and then put forward an idea to try and help her.
Celia told Moira that she is also finding farm life difficult. An increase in particular prices meant Celia was in a similar position to Moira, so she suggested that they work together on a hotel contract.
This was perfect for Moira. Consistent work for the hotel would mean a steady stream of money and, hopefully, time to get the farm back on track.

Just as Moira got her hopes up, they were completely destroyed. Celia arrived and confirmed that the hotel contract was no longer going ahead. As she left Moira in another pit of devastation, Celia wandered up to Home Farm.
There, it was confirmed she had been working with Joe as part of the Tate plan to buy the rest of the land in Emmerdale.
She told Joe that she’d be playing the long game with Moira, and believed tricking her into thinking she was on her side would be a better approach.

No not yet, she is creepy
In the latest episode of the ITV soap though, Celia developed a backbone and told Moira everything about her plan with Joe.
She was utterly horrified, but wanted to hear what Celia had to say about Joe and Kim Tate’s (Claire King) plan.
The two women then headed to Home Farm to confront Joe. It was at this point that we saw a somewhat darker side to Celia again. She snuck into the kitchen and got incredibly close to Joe’s face. It was weird, and a startled Joe called her creepy.
