Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) did not murder Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) in Emmerdale, but Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) still remains utterly convinced he did.
Yesterday, Tracy was arrested on suspicion of murdering her partner. DS Walsh, who is in charge of the case, asked Tracy that morning where she was the day Nate was due to go to Shetland aka, the day he was killed.
Tracy created an alibi and said she was with her sister Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick). When Walsh questioned Vanessa later that day, she did not find her statement very believable due to the hesitancy.
As a result of this and Nate’s phone being found in Frankie’s playhouse, Tracy was arrested.

As morning broke in this evening’s episode, John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) was visiting Tracy. He had spotted her lights on and wanted to ‘check in’ on her after spending the night in a cell.
John did his best to reassure Tracy and said that he knows she isn’t a killer…the irony. Tracy felt comforted by John’s support, completely unaware she was sitting with the real person who murdered Nate.
In the café a while later, Cain got word that Tracy was back. He wanted to angrily confront her again, but Mandy (Lisa Riley) pointed out that a calmer approach would look better for him.
Outside Tracy’s house, Cain continued with his theory that she killed Nate. As he left, Cain was shoved in the back by a frustrated Tracy.
