The CBS soap star threw it back to the early ‘90s.
Beyond the Gates star Cady McClain (Pamela) shared a fun flashback with fans that involved Days of Our Lives’ Melissa Reeves (Jennifer). The iconic moment goes all the way back to 1992, when they presented together at the Daytime Emmy Awards.
McClain shared a video clip of them presenting the Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series Award. They were all decked out for the event, with Reeves wearing a black sleeveless dress and McClain opting for a yellow dress.
“Holy smokes! Circa 1991… Here’s me and Melissa Reeves doing our best with this. Thank you to whomever was running their VCR! How fun to revisit… All I remember are my purple earrings and how proud I was to wear that yellow dress. Kind of a “Tweety Bird” moment, but he was one of my favs, after all. @missyreeves,” read the caption on the Instagram post.
Big hair was all the rage back then, and both ladies wore it well, which was one hot topic in the comments section.
“They say the 1980’s was the big hair era. Hmm,” shared a fan, which McClain replied to, saying, “dude. Back then my hair could levitate.”
General Hospital star Laura Wright (Carly), weighed in on the video, revealing, “Ohhhhh you beautiful ladies !!!!!! Ha. This was the first year I went to the daytime memory awards!!!” McClain responded, writing, “OMGgggggg!!! I remember when you started!!!”
Fans chimed in on the fact that both Reeves and McClain played Jennifer on Days of Our Lives. “My two favorite Jennifers,” and “The funny thing is you both played Jennifer,” were a couple of those comments.
The two stars looking like “babies” was mentioned more than once, including by General Hospitalstar Finola Hughes.
McClain definitely gave soap fans something to talk about with her fun flashback.
