Emmerdale’s Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) has been bending over backwards to help homeless Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) and it is about to come back and bite him.
When Dylan arrived back in the village and scored himself a nasty wound after being stabbed by Kyle wielding a pitchfork, Paddy was the one to swoop in, patch him up, and offer him somewhere to stay.
The kind-hearted vet has had no idea that Dylan has been heavily involved in Ray Walter’s (Joe Absolom) drug operation.
Dylan has been keeping lots of secrets, but one that’s got out after April blabbed to her dad and Paddy was that Dylan has previously been involved in sex work. This was a blow to the teen, but Paddy made it OK by reassuring him he felt no judgement.

Dylan later faced another obstacle when he came face to face with Kyle, and Kyle immediately recognised him as the man who attacked the farm.
Quite rightly, Kyle did not keep this to himself and told his mum, who went on the war path to give Dylan his just desserts.
So, it’s slowly getting around that Dylan is the bad lad that everyone thinks he is when really, he’s caught fast in the clutches of evil Ray. But at least he has Paddy onside.
Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) for one is not a fan and wants him gone from the village asap.

Paddy is crushed to learn that though he went to the trouble of finding and paying for Dylan to have somewhere to stay, he never showed up. Realising Dylan must be struggling again, Paddy decides to ask him to move back in.
Chas gets wind of this decision and hits the roof. In a cruel retaliation, Chas has a word in her other half’s ear and asks Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) to evict Paddy and Mandy.
