General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, August 4, reveals that Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) ordered Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) abduction while Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) had a phone call with the boss.
At GH, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) met up with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), who was there to get his mole checked out since Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) got him all paranoid.
Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) was surprised to find Kristina in the exam room with Cody before she took off.
The mole turned out to be a harmless freckle like Kristina predicted, so she turned Cody’s attention to their Ava seduction scheme.
Kristina sweetened the pot with an extra $10,000 and expected Cody to work faster.
Since Kristina knew Ava was in Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) office, Cody agreed to make up a legal question and show up there.
Meanwhile, Ava told Alexis that things had gotten too complicated with Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) muddying the waters, so she thought it was better to keep things between them now.
All Ava wanted was one final $1.5 million payment and then she was willing to surrender Ric’s car as well as get rid of the security footage implicating Kristina.
Alexis shook on the deal before Cody showed up pretending to be surprised that Ava was in Alexis’ office.
At the Metro Court, Molly met up with Ric for dinner and fished for info on Ava, but he honestly didn’t know what she was up to tonight.
After Ric and Molly’s catch-up session, Elizabeth arrived and wound up joining the pair for dinner.
Molly was pleased and seemed eager to push Ric in Liz’s direction romantically.
In Brennan’s office, he gave Josslyn updates on her fake passport info.
Brennan recapped what he expected of Josslyn before getting a call from Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
Since Brennan found out Carly was at the Metro Court, he sent Josslyn there to give her mom the cover story.
Josslyn met up with Carly and claimed her grandmother’s old friend, Mrs. Walker, didn’t have anybody to help her after breaking her hip in Australia.
Carly thought it was nice of Josslyn to pitch in for a couple weeks, but she could tell there was more going on.
Josslyn suggested she got to thinking about what Carly said regarding Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) and planned to put some distance between them until she decided what she wanted.
Brennan came along and played dumb about Josslyn’s trip as he asked questions. Once Josslyn took off, Carly told Brennan about Anna sharing concerns about Vaughn recently.
Down by the docks, Anna found Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), so they had a long conversation about mistakes they’d made with their daughters.
Obrecht suggested that she’d put her devotion to Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) above Britt while Anna had been devoted to the WSB over Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough).
Later, Anna called Carly to hint about some new info she wanted to share regarding Josslyn and planned to come right over.
Carly mentioned that news to Brennan, who stepped away for a work call.
Since someone ambushed Anna and put a bag over her head moments later, it was clear that Brennan had taken drastic action to stop her secret spillage.
At the Five Poppies Resort, Britt threw more complaints at Pascal (Marc Forget) before demanding a conversation with the boss.
Once Britt was alone, she marveled over how big “Ben” aka Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) had gotten in the photo Liesl posted on her social media page.
That led to Britt pulling up a pic of when “Ben” was a baby.
Later, the boss called Britt, who insisted they had a huge problem. Britt needed more data before she could do anything else and wanted more freedom as well.
However, things turned a bit softer as Britt suggested she was doing fine and wished her calls would be returned more often.
Once the phone conversation wrapped up, Britt pulled out another injection vial as she prepared for bed.
Over with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), she broke Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) heart by delaying their adoption plans until she could make amends with Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza).
When Chase bumped into Gio at the pool afterward, things were awkward between them.
Gio also had a conversation with Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) and convinced her that he had to be the one to break in Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) lab.
When Josslyn arrived, she spoke with Emma alone and admitted she was ditching the research assistant gig.
Josslyn warned Emma not to take her place and said Dalton was a sleaze who’d made multiple moves on her.
General Hospital spoilers say Emma won’t listen to Josslyn’s warnings and could end up in over her head soon, so stay tuned!
