DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) is going through a tough time in Coronation Street at the moment, and it has taken its toll on her work.
The detective has always been one to throw herself into the action – even if that meant putting herself in danger – but tonight’s episode saw her freeze when confronted with a masked robber.
The masked assailant fled from the corner shop with £6000 in cash, with Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) shouting after him.
Lisa’s lack of action sparked concern for Carla Connor (Alison King), though when she questioned her, Lisa insisted she was fine.
However, it later all became too much for the detective, who broke down and admitted that she wasn’t doing well.
She confessed that she was worried she’d never be able to get back to active duty if she continued to freeze in the face of danger.

Lisa has been relegated to desk duty for the past few weeks after making a mistake at work, which led to Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) suffering a seizure while in custody.
In order to get back into active duty, Lisa has been instructed to undergo a course of therapy, and so far it hasn’t been going well.
Lisa struggled to open up about how she was feeling, and was particularly quick to shut down any conversation about her late wife, Becky Swain.

Later, despite Carla’s reassurances that she was a good detective, Lisa continued to spiral.
She revealed that she couldn’t stop thinking about Becky, and the possibility that her late wife really was corrupt.
Before things got too out of hand, Carla jumped in, urging Lisa to look to the future instead of driving herself crazy by fixating on the past.
