Coronation Street fan favourite Sam Robertson has confirmed his on screen future after a long absence.
The actor, who has played Adam Barlow on the ITV soap since 2004, hasn’t made all that many appearances lately, but fans need not worry.
Robertson has just signed a new contract that will keep him on the Cobbles until November 2026 (via The Sun).
Although the actor first played the role over 20 years ago, his first stint only lasted until 2007. He returned to the soap in 2016, and has been a regular fixture ever since.

Adam’s job as a solicitor has seen him be involved in many high-profile storylines on Corrie, while he’s also had a fair few notable romances.
He was married to Sarah Platt between 2020 and 2024, although that relationship came to an end due to her infidelity with gangster Damon Hay.

One person who won’t be seen on Corrie much in future is actor Jack Carroll, who reportedly quit the role of Bobby Crawford recently and had his last scenes air in May without any fanfare.
It is understood that the door is open for him to return in the future.
Elsewhere, star Sue Devaney reassured fans that, despite Debbie Webster’s dementia storyline, which took some big turns this week, the actor will remain on the soap until at least 2027.
“She’s not going anywhere yet,” the star said.
