Coronation Street has revealed a first look at Jason Grimshaw’s shocking return to Weatherfield.
The fan favourite character (played by Ryan Thomas) was last seen on the cobbles in 2016, before leaving to start a new life in Thailand.
However, after nine years away, Jason is returning for a guest stint to tie in with Sue Cleaver’s (who plays Eileen Grimshaw) upcoming departure.
A new set of spoiler clips has revealed what’s to come in next week’s scenes, beginning with the aftermath of Mick Michaelis’ recent arrest.

In an official spoiler clip from Monday’s episode (26 May), Kit Green comes face to face with an intruder who has trashed his flat. It is revealed that Mick’s son Brody, who is actually Kit’s biological child, is behind the vengeful act.

Adamant that his dad is innocent, Brody insists that Kit has set Mick up and now owes him. He demands Kit helps release Mick from jail.
Kit sits the teen down and tells him that Mick has been lying to him about his innocence. He explains that there is scientific evidence proving Mick killed Craig Tinker.

Meanwhile, Wednesday’s (28 May) spoiler clip sees George Shuttleworth lamenting over his relationship troubles with Eileen. He tells Todd that no matter how hard he tries, he can’t get anything right when it comes to Eileen.
Todd reminds him that Eileen is still grieving for Julie and needs him to be more supportive. But upset George fears that Eileen doesn’t need him at all anymore.

In Friday’s (30 May) spoiler clip, the Weatherfield residents gather to bid Julie a fond farewell in The Rovers.
Theo begs a furious Todd not to confront newcomer Noah, after recognising him from his conversion therapy when he was younger.
Meanwhile, as the mourners play Julie’s ‘dream’ game, George takes the opportunity to propose to Eileen – who is left utterly speechless. However, before she can answer, Jason walks in with his suitcase, declaring: “The Rover returns!”

A relieved Eileen rushes to embrace her son, leaving George feeling awkward in the wake of his romantic gesture.
