General Hospital sees the big reveal of Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) as the mystery son of Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) soon.
But who is it that drops the bombshell that blows up lives? We’re going to see who reveals the truth about Gio to his biological parents and the fallout from that explosion. As of this week, we’ve got even more people searching for Brook Lynn and Dante’s son, and the truth is just about to come out. I mean, heck, one person’s already guessed it, but just needs proof.
Lulu Suspects Gio is BLQ and Dante’s Son on General Hospital
First of all, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) has now put two and two together. She’s pretty sure Gio is Dante and Brook Lynn’s kid. And Lulu told Carly Corinthos Spencer (Laura Wright) she needs to find Dante’s son already. And this week, Lulu tells Carly she thinks Gio is their kid. So, we could see Carly giving Lulu some advice.
If she wants to prove Gio is the kid, Lulu needs to get a DNA test. She could easily swipe Gio’s toothbrush, secretly run a paternity test. She can test it against Rocco Falceroni (Finn Frances Carr) or Dante. Either one would give her the answer that she needs. But even if Lulu gets the proof, that doesn’t mean that she’ll be the one to lob the grenade and blow up Dante’s There are several ways this could play out.
Who Will Reveal the Truth About Gio on GH? Tracy, Jason, or Carly?
Carly, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) are all in the mix. And of course, Lulu’s been in it all along. So, another way this could come out could be tied to Tracy asking Jason to use his mob resources to find her great-grandson. He may not even have to do that because spoilers for Wednesday have Carly strategizing with Jason that comes after she warns Lulu to be careful with this inflammatory theory of hers.
So, Carly may tell Jason that Lulu thinks Brook Lynn and Dante’s son is Gio. And Jason may tell Carly that Tracy just asked him to find her great-grandson. From there, Jason and Carly may go do some DNA testing on the sly to test Lulu’s theory. But would Jason blab the truth? I don’t think so. It doesn’t seem like something he would do. Tracy, on the other hand, is another matter entirely.
If Jason gets the proof and reports back to Tracy (Jane Elliot) that Gio is her great-grandson, I am pretty sure she would march over and tell Brook Lynn. And with that info, Dante might then get the news from BLQ because she’d have no excuse to sit on the adoption thing anymore. But a third option is Carly She may not listen to anybody. She may turn around and take the truth to Dante, her former stepson.
Or she may go to Brook Lynn and tell her about Gio. I could see Carly doing this simply to get Lulu out of the line of fire because as Carly reminded Lulu the other day when Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) revealed the truth about Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell)’s paternity, it blew up lives and Carly doesn’t want that for Lulu. But the truth needs to come out if for no other reason than poor Gio could really use some parents.
Is Lulu the Most Likely to Drop the Gio Bombshell on General Hospital?
Back to Lulu. Let’s be real. She is one of the likeliest candidates to drop the bombshell because she can’t keep her nose out of BLQ’s business and she is determined to out her to Dante no matter the cost. Lulu was holding back, but after Dante said, “I love you, but I can’t be with you,” Lulu may take a what the hell stance and just blow it up if for no other reason than to make BLQ look bad to Dante.
We’ve seen how frustrated Lulu is about BLQ telling others that Lulu is poking at her intentionally. Of course, I’d expect if Lulu tells Dante, it could blow up in her face as Carly warned, Dante may shoot the messenger. But in the end, Lulu is going to do what Lulu wants to do. So, it could very well be her that drops the grenade.

Alternative Paths for the Gio Reveal: Lulu tells BLQ or Lois Comes Clean
However, a better outcome could be that instead of going to Dante, we see Lulu take the Gio news to Brook Lynn. After Tracy pushed Lulu to have compassion for BLQ, we could see Lulu go a different route and decide to give her a chance and some information.
And Brook Lynn may actually appreciate Lulu saying, “Hey, you know what? Your mom misled you all these years. Your son’s always been in your life and it’s Gio.” So, in the end, Brook Lynn and Lulu might actually end up on the same side of this rather than as enemies getting more bitter towards each other by the day.
Finally, just to cover all our bases, one last person who could spill the truth about Gio could be Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) herself. The guilt is eating her up, and if she sees the truth about Gio’s about to come out, Lois may try and get out in front of it and come clean to BLQ.
After all, Lois almost let the cat out of the bag when she was defending Gio to Dante over at General Hospital and was yelling, “You don’t know who he really is.” That’s the only reason Gio’s even on Lulu’s radar at this point. So, Lois may bite the bullet. Just get it over with.
The Ideal Gio Reveal Scenario and the Emotional Fallout on GH
The best outcome is instead of dropping the Gio bombshell to the kid or to Dante first, hopefully whoever confirms that Gio is Dante and Brook Lynn’s kid will go to BLQ with the truth first, let her process it, and then she tells Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), and then those two go together to Dante.
And then once the adults, BLQ, Dante, Chase (Josh Swickard), everybody’s got their facts straight, got calm, have a plan, then Brook Lynn and Dante (Dominic can sit down with Gio, maybe with Chase there for moral support, and tell him, “Look, we just found out that we are your biological parents.” And of course, this truth bomb is going to be a lot for Dante, for Brook Lynn, and for Gio.
They are all going to have to figure out how to handle it. And Brook Lynn’s relationship with Lois may never be the same. And poor Gio is going to get this one, two, three punch. His mom lied to him his whole life. He never knew he was adopted. Gloria Cerullo (Ellen Travolta) and Lois also lied to his face this whole time.
And instead of being an orphan, he could have had loving parents in his life after his mother died. That was the point for Lois to come clean. Obviously, Gio is going to be shell shocked, but I suspect Lois is going to take the most damage when this all explodes because she has been lying for a very long time.
